Cooke County Electric Cooperative Charitable Foundation Distributes $16,639.81 in Initial Grants to Three Area Organizations

Cooke County Electric Charitable Foundation (CCECF) is pleased to announce its initial distribution of funds. A $10,000 donation was made to Montague County Carpenter’s Shop (, along with $4,639.81 to CASA of North Texas ( and $2,000 to the Bettie M. Luke Muenster Public Library (

From June 7, 1938 with 98 Members Owners to Now

Beginning June 7, 1938 with only 98 member owners in the Muenster area, CCECA now serves 9,746 member owners with over 15,877 electric meters. The service area has now expanded with 3,252 miles of line to cover parts of a five county area including Cooke, Montuage, Grayson, Denton and Wise counties.

Cooperative History Books Available

We have copies of The History of Cooke County Electric Cooperative Association Lighting Your way for the Past 75 Years available at the Business Office free to those who would like to pick up a copy during normal business hours. This is a 96 page book of the founding and growth of this dynamic cooperative effort to bring affordable electricity to this rural area of north Texas.

The online bill payment service will be under maintenance for one hour (5:30-6:30 a.m.) the second & last Saturday of each month.
